Grow North Farm exterior mural to be installed at the end of August. Commissioned by the Anchorage Community Land Trust. A 10’ x 14’ painted mural celebrating the Grow North Farm community garden in Mt. View providing income and fresh local produce. The finished piece will honor community’s rich diversity, resilience and entrepreneurial spirit. The mural will feature colorful traditional textile patterns from around the world and giant vegetables.

University of Alaska, ASD Summer Academy- Portrait Painting Workshop for ASD staff/2 credits. This course will cover facial anatomy and proportions starting out with graphite and moving on to a choice of acrylic or oil painting for portrait studies. Students will learn how to mix skin tones and to use hue, temperature and chroma to create compelling realistic portraits.
