Original icon portrait of an Alaska Native woman holding a Husky “village mix” puppy, inspired by the artist’s dog, Ruby. Ruby is from Bethel, Alaska. The woman in the portrait has a traditional chin tattoo and her head ornament is inspired by the Alutiiq/Sugpiaq masks of the artist’s ancestors of Kodiak Island.
